A dining chair is a type of furniture which your colonists can sit on. Dining chairs can be placed in front of tables and other buildings to be sat on. When of equivalent quality, it is more comfortable than a stool but less comfortable than an armchair.

A dining chair is a form of seating. You need a seat in order to eat at a table, play at a chess table or poker table, or watch television. While sitting on a chair, comfort increases. They can also be placed in front of most production benches for comfort purposes. The orientation of the chair does not matter for any reason.
